History and traditions of our land

Once upon a time, there was a sea hamlet

“You will move visiting many other Cities of Italy, and your eyes will always see the gentle shores of my Sorrento” –Torquato Tasso.

Lauded by poets, painters and singers, the Sorrento Peninsula is one of the most beautiful places of southern Italy: a succession of rocks and cliffs, breathtaking landscapes, picturesque villages and Mediterranean vegetation along the sea resulting in an uniquely beautiful atmosphere.

Discovering the Marina

Marina del Cantone

Marina del Cantone, the bay famous for its pebbles and for the crystalline water, is the perfect place for those who want to enjoy a relaxing bath.

The beach is one of the largest and most comfortable of the Sorrentine Peninsula, and, walking through a scenic trail, you can reach the hidden and unmistakable Recommone bay, a small corner of paradise. Marina del Cantone beach can be reached by private car and by bus.

Ieranto Bay

Located within the Marine Protected Area, the small beach of the Ieranto bay is one of the loveliest spots in Massalubrense. Being accessible only on foot, the bay retains the beauty of all the wild places.

Starting from Nerano main square, you can take the footpath that leads to the bay; along the way, walking through cultivated garden plots, olive groves and citrus orchards, you will have the chance to admire Villa Rosa, where Norman Douglas sojourned. Very characteristic is also the location of the bay, it is in fact in a little cove in front of the Faraglioni of Capri.
